We offer a variety of planning services to private property owners, small land developers, non-profit and for-profit organizations, and local and state governments.
Local Development Permitting and Project Management
- Our local development permitting and project management services are designed to turn a development project from an idea into a final product. We will:
- Identify and explain the regulatory process your project must navigate before it can become a reality;
- Identify the approvals it will require from local, state, and federal authorities;
- Identify specialized environmental and engineering studies that will be required to gain the required approvals;
- Assist in the identification, selection, and hiring of environmental and engineering consultants needed to make your project a reality;
- Manage your specialty consultants and facilitate the preparation of their studies within the timeframe required by your project;
- Prepare and submit your application(s) to the appropriate agencies; and
- Organize and coordinate your appearance before regulatory authorities (planning commission, city council, county commissioner, etc.).
Long Range Planning and Policy Development
- Our long range planning and policy development services will take your local or state project through the steps necessary to produce feasible and defensible policy documents and implementing ordinances. We can assist your agency:
- Develop a statement of the problem substantiated by the data required to withstand any legal or political challenge;
- Develop clear, concise, and defensible policies and implementation strategies;
- Prepare implementation programs and ordinances;
- Develop and manage public engagement programs designed to facilitate participation and develop the informed consent necessary to ensure that your policy document enjoys the support of those affected by its provisions; and
- Develop and manage specialized consent-development programs such as design and policy charrettes.
